You can hire us for you special event

Lance and Hames is primarily made up from 2 persons with equines and an associate, if available. The remit is to provide an insight into everyday aspects of medieval life. This includes nobility on horse-back, using their horse for hunting and to practice for the joust, as well as the peasantry who used their equines for farming and religious orders who used mules as transport.

We can provide you with an entertaining and educational hunting games demonstration. This includes a knight on a charger (the education) and a jester on a mule (the entertainment). Or we can give a talk on medieval farming and the use of horses through the ages. We can give educational talks, or just be a fun, colourful backdrop to your event.  

All our costumes and weapons are as accurate as possible for the time period.

Lance and Hames are based in Mansfield/Nottingham. The logistics of looking after the horses and the availability of associates are restricting factors for both distance feasible to travel to venues and availability for weekend events. Please contact us regarding availability for your event.
